19. Additional Terms for iSLCollective Supporting Membership
Updated on December 1, 2020
Expiry of your Supporting Membership
If you choose to make a donation and become a Supporting Member, you understand that your Supporting Membership will nominally expire one year after the donation unless it is renewed during your active Membership period. Once your Supporting Membership has expired, your current account status will be changed back to “Free”.
The period of the Supporting Membership is for the duration of one year. You can make a donation payment at the beginning of your membership period by direct bank transfer, debit/credit card or by PayPal transfer. Our bank card payment processing partner is CCBill.
In case of using Paypal, the actual payment takes place on PayPal's secure site.
2. Bank Card
Users can also pay securely with your debit or credit card on CCbill, the site of our international payment gateway partner. iSLCollective has chosen CCBill because it is well-known and trustworthy provider for processing electronic payments, which accepts the most commonly used credit and debit cards. By choosing this payment solution users will be redirected to a safe payment page. Here users can pay with their bank card as usual. It is important to emphasize that iSLCollective will have no information of the card data provided by users on CCBill. For more information please visit ccbill.com).
1. Recurring donation
Users can choose to select a monthly amount to donate every month or they can make a one-time payment. Recurring payment means that a user authorizes islcollective.com to automatically charge his/her Paypal account or bank card every month on the monthly anniversary of the first payment - until the user cancels it. In either case, technically, users pay in their national currency, and iSLCollective's bank will exchange it. The currencies indicated in the payment box on https://en.islcollective.com/become_a_supporting_member are there only to give users a better idea of how much they are going to pay.
Supporting members can easily cancel their automatic monthly payments on PayPal.com in case of Paypal payments. In case of CCBill payments (iSLCollective's bank card payment processor), supporting members just have to reply to the payment confirmation email they have received by CCBill, and CCBill will cancel the supporting member's recurring payment typically within a few hours.
Recurring payment works both with PayPal and CCBill. A Supporting member's account will be upgraded to "iSLCollectve Sponsor" after successful payment as soon as your payment appears on the Paypal or bank account of iSLCollective Ltd.
2. One-time donation
So-called "one-time" payments can also be made by users on iSLCollective.com - both via Paypal or CCBill, which means a single payment (which entails - as opposed to recurring payments - no authorization to iSLCollective to automatically charge the user again after one month).
After successful payment Supporting Members will be sent a confirmation of their donation via email.
The Supporting Membership status will be indicated to a donor in the supporting member's profile page as soon as the supporting member's payment appears on the Paypal or bank account of iSLCollective Ltd.
If, for any reasons, you decide to get a refund of your donation, you may ask for a refund. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis by our Support Team. If you have a refund request, please get in touch with us at info [at] islcollective [dot] com.
Limitation of Liability
Termination of Supporting membership
Prohibition of Transferability of Supporting Membership
If you choose to become the Supporting Membership you understand that your membership is personal to you and you may not sell, trade, transfer your account name and password or share these with others, including without limitation your co-workers. Any distribution by you of your account name and password to another person will result in cancellation of your iSLCollective.com Supporting Membership without a refund. You agree to immediately notify iSLCollective Ltd. of any unauthorized use of your iSLCollective.com account or any other breach of security that you gain knowledge of in relation to the Site.
